Hair Burst Half way review!

heeeeey everyone!

Now as i promised i am here to give you my 100% opinion and results after using the hair growth supplement hair burst. I am half way through my second month with another full month's supply left to go and let me just say that i am so thrilled and surprised by the results so far.

When i first saw people posting about hair burst i followed their Instagram page straight away and started doing some research on what made hair grow and what supplements/ vitamins could be taken to help the growth and strength of my hair. Now i can't remember off by heart what the separate vitamins were that every internet website recommended but i do know that i went out and bought up to five different jars of capsules (each filled with a different vitamin) to see if using them alone would help my hair grow quicker and improve the condition. This didn't really work and i got so sick of taking so many capsules a day that i gave up.

Now hair bust had been on the market for quite some while and i would catch myself checking their Instagram quite regularly just to see if it was actually real people posting real results. I was very very sceptical of this product and i didn't understand how it could actually help hair to grow and become stronger. I thought that the before and after pictures they posted were either photo shopped, had a hair cut and put it as the before, used different people or they had chucked extensions in to make it look like real results.

I decided to let the curiosity get the better of me and here i am today sharing my experience so far with you all!  I posted a photo on my Instagram with my results so far to let people see how it was going and 'hair burst results page' as well as the 'hair burst columbia page' reposted it .. now as i had my doubts, girls following the pages also had theirs. When i looked at the photos re-grammed from me there were comments like "does it really work" "that's not the same girl" "i don't believe you" "the photos don't look the same" etc.

I am being 100% honest when i say this, IT DOES WORK.. it really really does work! it's weird to say but even after the first couple of weeks of taking them i started noticing my hair getting longer and the condition of it was a lot less porous. My hair was a lot shinier and less breakable, my eyelashes were extremely thick and a lot longer and i was amazed by the results so early into the supply.

It's now been a month and a half and my hair has grown a heap. It is thicker and i don't worry about it breaking and snapping off anymore. I got my hair cut a few weeks ago and it has grown heaps since then, which to me is such a big step for my hair. I notice that it is also a lot healthier looking and finally getting back to it's natural state which for someone who thought they had 'ruined' their hair is the worlds best feeling! I have never been happier with a product for my hair before and i would recommend it to anyone that asks! The after photo that i used looks a little different because it is in a different place in my house, the lighting is different, the angle is a little more straight on and i'm wearing a jumper in it AND I HADN'T BRUSHED OR BLOW DRYED MY HAIR ARGHH. I can assure you that my hair has grown and if you can't see that then there is something wrong...

As for any side effects i haven't felt any different after taking them and they don't make me feel nauseous, so in my opinion their are none. Which is another thumbs up.

Just incase a few of you are still skeptical, this post is coming from an honest place in my heart. I am not gaining anything out of this from hair burst. I am just a very happy customer extremely over joyed by the results from this product and i am super happy that i can share my experience so far with you all.

Treat yo hair right ♡

Okay so with my hair, i have put it through a lot of sh*t.. excuse the french but i really don’t know how else to describe the things i have done to my poor hair. Yesterday i went from proxy blonde to a deep base coloured ombre look, from now on i am no longer going to be using bleach in my hair and i am making sure to look after it. Surprisingly my hairdresser doesn’t think my hair is in to bad condition which makes me optimistic about growing it! So i have decided to put together a few tips and ways to help the growing process of your hair along with my favourite hair care products and my weekly hair routine!

♡ Get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks (not to much, just the ends off)

Trimming your hair doesn’t make to much sense when you’re actually trying to ‘grow it’ but trust me, trimming your hair regularly will help your hair in the long run. Cutting the ends off makes sure that there are no splits in the hair which could result in the whole hair shaft splitting making your hair weak and unable to grow. Now i think we all want our hair to be long and healthy, not just long! GET IT TRIMMED!

 ♡ Take vitamin supplements

it’s not very often that our bodies get every single victim that it needs to help it in its tracks of development. So taking some vitamins every day will just help it along it’s way. You can take - Hair Blast (which i have already spoken about in a previous post, and this offers every vitamin your body needs for rapid and healthy hair condition and growth) , Vitamin B, Biotin and also eating foods like eggs soy whole grains and liver will give you a biotin rich diet.

 ♡ Hot oil Treatments

you can buy these in the stores, they just heat up and then you apply it to your scalp and massage carefully. You can also do this with coconut oil, heat the oil up and let it cool a little before you apply it to your skin (you’ll get burnt other wise obviously) and then massage into your scalp. This will also leave your hair feeling super moisturised and soft.

 ♡ Massaging your scalp

This allows for stimulation to the scalp, potentially opening up the pores in your head and allowing for natural oils to escape through. Which is also another really helpful way to restore your hairs natural condition.

 ♡ Hair Masques/ treatments

Hair treatments are a must and you need to find yourself a good one that you can use for a deep condition or a treatment once a week. Now depending on the condition of your hair depends on how you can use your product, if the treatment or masque you are using has protein elements to it then it is probably not so great to use it more than once a week, but if it doesn’t and it is purely a moisturising treatment then use it as much as you feel your hair needs you to.

 ♡ Brushing your hair

Now after doing some research on this topic (so i am actually giving you credible information) it was evident that hair brushing was actually not something that people recommended to do. Now personally, i feel that brushing my hair defiantly increases the shine and strength through it. I also feel that after i brush my hair the oils from the top of my head can finally reach the bottom. Which is great for maintaining healthy hair. As for it not being recommend, i think that harsh brushing and tugging at your hair is the thing that is shunned away from. When you are brushing your hair, start at the bottom  and get all the tangles and tugs out before you then brush from top to bottom. This will make sure there is no hair pulled out or snapped in the process. Brushing your hair increase the circulation in your scalp, and removes any dead skin cells that are trapping your natural oils in there.

My Weekly Hair Routine

Every morning: i take two hair blast pills, i brush my hair whenever i’m just sitting doing nothing (it feels so nice and makes my hair feel softer and more conditioned),
Monday: I try to wash my hair on a Monday and leave it until it gets super dirty looking (i’m trying to reduce the frequency of taking away the good oils from it)
Wednesday or Thursday: i’m finally washing my hair i’ll wash it with my shampoo and then i’ll condition it and put my treatment in (while i wash my body, face, scrub or shave my legs etc), then i’ll rinse that out, ill lightly tap my hair with my towel and then let it dry off a little before spraying my hair with my leave in treatment. Once my hair has naturally dried (staying away from heat for a while) i then go and spray some hair oil on it, to give it some shine.

This is my found hair routine and it is what works for me. Your hair might be completely different and you might need to use a different routine, just do what works for you and what you feel benefits you the most!

My hair care products for this month (or until they run out)

Now the following products are products i have used in the past that have worked for me, and also the products that i am using on my hair right now. Now just a note: i never use the same products for a prolonged amount of time, whenever the product runs out i change it up and go for another shampoo, conditioner, treatment or leave in spray. For some reason i have always remembered being told that changing up your hair products is healthy for you, so i have always done it.

In photo order left to right:
  • Nioxin Hair Thickening
  • Matrix Shampoo and Conditioner
  • ET Equilibrium
  • Paul Mitchell Revitablonde Leave in Spray treatment
  • Kukui Oil Spray
  • John Freda Frizz Ease Leave in Treatment

WHAT NOT TO DO

✖ Don’t condition your roots/scalp

✖ Don’t brush your hair when it is wet

✖ Don’t Tie your hair tie in the same spot every single time (this will weaken the hair wherever your hair tie has been)

✖ Try not to use hair styling products such as hair spray or waxes

✖  Try to avoid stress

✖ Avoid using heat styling when you can

Happy growing!

go to - metalic bronze eye

hey lovelies,

this post is literally just a product description of the products that i use for my favourite 'go to' bronzy eye shadow look. Now can i just apologise in advance for the terrible writing that this post is filled with... i am a little (a little? A LOT) excited about these products and i just can't wait to share them with you! be ware of the many 'caps locks' and elongated words haha...

Chi Chi 'Rich Gems' Pallet Target $19.99 -
I only use one colour from this pallet in my bronze look and i am pointing to it in the picture.
I really just wanted to put the whole pallet in this post as well because the colour selection is the greatest! I love Chi Chi and i have a fair few of their pallets and the pigment in their eye shadows are out of this world! I love the colours in this particular pallet and it is such a great pallet to have in your collection if you want to add some colour to your look!

Australis Metalix in 'Guns and Rose Petals Priceline $8.99 -
AH OH MY GOSH this this this this, is so so delightful! I went to purchase this a few weeks ago and i got to the counter and they lady was like "sorry we can't sell you this one it's the tester" i wanted it that badly that i would have taken a tester (gross i know) but... i waited a week and they got more in and now i have my own BRAND NEW one! yaaaaay i love this eye shadow so much and it's so pretty once it's on! It's not a liquid eye shadow it's more dry so its a little hard to apply.. but once you get the hang of how it goes on then it's a m a z i n g ! they come in a few different colours as well.

Sugar Baby 'Sweet Cheeks'  Target $16 -
this is MY FAVOURITE favourite favourite bronzing/highlighting trio that i have ever laid my eyes on! if i could marry a make up product i can tell you now that i would put a ring on it! The colours in this trio are so so beautiful, a pinky high light, a whiter highlight and then a shimmery bronzy brown. I use this product on my eyes as well as my face obviously for when i want to highlight or add some shimmer / due! Seriously get out and get one of these because i can tell you now you are going to L O V E it!

Designer Brands 'Extend A Lash' $19.99 Local Chemist -
Now i have never tried a fibre lash mascara (i have always wondered whether they actually work or not) and i saw this one today relatively cheap so i grabbed it today and thought i would give it a go. It comes with the Mascara and then the Fibre formula. I was actually really surprised at how good this works! I applied the two products twice and it made my lashes so much longer and fuller. It seriously looked like i have put on some fake lashes! i love it and will defiantly be using this every day!

Rimmel London Katie Lip Stick '38, Rosetto' Target $7.99  -
LOVE THIS COLOUR , it's a bronzy / deep peach tone.. colourful but not to much colour! It can go with pretty much any look and it kind of adapts to any eye shadow look you've got on.. i have a few Katie lipsticks are they are very nice on the lips and leave them feeling moisturised! yum yum yum , smells and tastes really good to! Well worth the purchase!

I hope you go out and treat yourself to a few of these things!

just breathe

oh my worrrrrrd, am i feeling more stressed than ever right now! I went over on my phone bill for last month and this month and they have both come in together, i need to renew my licence (more money), i have a stupid business law assignment due in three days and i just can't even face the thought of looking at my draft, i've got online quizzes due this week and to sum it all up i've got two lovely big ass pimples on my face! To say i was feeling very very overwhelmed this week would be the understatement of the century! someone get me a coffee.. or crepes.. please.

Anyways, i'm glad i got all of that off my chest because my poor little brain was about to explode! I know some of you are probably thinking "wow what a sook, other people have so much more to deal with than that" and yes, you're so so right but some times some of us have a breaking point... and i'm very close to mine! So this is why i thought i would do a little post on a few things i do to make myself feel calmer when i just don't know where to turn.

☼ Firstly, take a deep breath and do something for 10-15 minutes that makes you feel calm.

(In my case i went for a shower, scrubbed my face, lathered myself in lush body gel and took a deep woft of the lovely smells, then i got changed into something baggy, put pimple cream on and lit a candle)

☼ Make a list of things that you need to do, put them in order of importance

Take each task one step at a time and don't let yourself think about the other things on your list until you're finished with the one you are working on. . this will stop you from becoming over whelmed.

☼ Sit yourself some where different to where you usually study (i'm sitting on the couch in the kitchen with the cool breeze from outside coming in) this is quite calming and makes your working environment different to the usual stressful environment you're in.

☼ Get yourself some snacks (right now i'm snacking away on some frozen grapes and water) this makes me feel clean and fresh for some weird reason!

Honestly, worrying and stressing does not get you any where as i have learnt! You just need to take it easy, and take it as it comes... don't let yourself get to a point where you're so wound up that you have a break down!  Nothing in life is worth making yourself sick over, and everything is achievable if you put your mind to it! ONE STEP AT A TIME PEOPLE, LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT!
